About the Course Director:
Dr. Gautam Das is a highly respected pain physician, educator, and researcher with over three decades of experience in healthcare, and more than 18 years dedicated to teaching pain medicine. He is the founder and Director of Daradia: The Pain Clinic in Kolkata, India, a globally recognized center for pain treatment and education, which has received accolades such as “Best Pain Clinic” by the Indian Society for Study of Pain and “Excellence in Pain Practice” by the World Institute of Pain.
A prolific author, Dr. Das has penned six popular pain management textbooks, including “Clinical Methods in Pain Medicine” (the first of its kind to systematically arrange the examination of pain patients), and contributed to numerous book chapters. He has also published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
His contributions to pain medicine in India are significant, being among the first to introduce procedures like percutaneous discectomy, ozone nucleolysis, percutaneous nucleotomy, and endoscopic discectomy in the country.
